An hour

Have been up for about an hour but am about to turn in for a while again. When I get up next it will be to sort out because things have got a bit higgledypiggadly round these parts while I've been ill. And then sorting out to move.

Tomorrow also sees the long trek to the dentist start off again. Only one more visit after this I think.

Don't know why I put it off for so long really. Losing the bridge was a blessing in disguise cause it got me off me arse so that I'd do something about getting this fixed.

Guess it doesn't matter if I find it again now.

Settling in

I've found my new blog home. Chose a new one from the first and am settling in there. It's a slightly different system from here so I'm just getting used to it. But I like the layouts. My only gripe is that there are no colour changes for the fonts but there you go, can't have everything can you.

Done

Have created two new blogs on another site that will be up and running soon. The blogs had just got out of control a bit and needed to be sorted out and tidied up. I'll pop in and say hello soon on one and on the other I'll be taking the last post, which I haven't typed out yet, as the first post.

Will leave one here.

Packing up

I will soon be leaving to go to London. Not just that but I will soon be leaving this blog too to go to start another one somewhere else. Tidying up and moving on. My blogs had got a bit out of control or something and I've decided a bit of spring cleaning is called for complete with blog move.

And .. yes

And,yes .... I did get on the wrong train.

Bij de tandarts

This time I was almost late getting to the dentists. I had to get a taxi from Paddington across to the suburbs of South London.

PADDINGTON??????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't ask.

But I have a new day out or two planned. I've always wanted to go to Bristol. Today I was surprized at just how close that dream was to coming true.

Anyway I got to ... Paddington ... with an hour left to get over to my dentist. So, the only way I could get there on time was by cab and with crossed paws that we would get there before the late afternoon traffic could slow us down. As we crossed the river into Battersea I knew I'd make it. Close thing this time though. I got there with ten minutes to spare to find that my dentist was running half an hour slow.

He apologised. I smiled and said not to worry. And thought little do you know .....

I wasn't there for long once the treatment started. More work on the root canal and an x ray.

Back next week for a longer time. Think I might head down the day before as the appointment's earlier in the day. Not so much time for unintentional sight seeing on the way.

Next week he's going to make me a temporary bridge which I think is just made out of plaster which I'll have while I wait for the new one.

So.................

The computer is indeed clever. A few posts ago I mentioned that it had taken the initiative into it's own paws yet again and published what I was writing before I thought that I'd finished. AND it published it THREE TIMES.

Now, maybe you don't know this but I am a deleting lemuure. The computer has tried to help me out by highlighting here and there to show that hidden in a deletion ridden blog, providing ofcourse that the blog is still there, are secret messages that counteract the effects of the deleting.

Today we move on from that lesson to learn that there are ways around deleting and this is if you post everything three times it gives you time to think before deleting all three posts.

Now, these don't all have to appear on the blog as you can save the ones you don't want up on the blog, whether this is one, two, or, in some cases, maybe even three of the duplicated posts, is up to you.

Whole blog deletion was easier. Just type yourself a reminder in the title of the blog.

e.g Reminder - Do not delete this blog.

Hopefully this will remind you that whole blog deletion on the spur of the moment isn't always the most sensible of ideas.

If you feel that blogs might still disappear I suggest you might think of joining LJ where they'll save ur blog for a whole month and you can have it back any time you like.

It makes you think

Here they are working so hard for us bloggers.

Guilt tripping us as one of us ....................

......................................................

And possibly.........

Working hard at this very minute as the posts aren't reaching the blog.

Happy Earth Day

It's Earth Day today. And I was rather late discovering this. (Blames the trains, leaves on the line and all that).

Not to worry because we can celebrate it one way and another throughout the year.

The links aren't clickable at the moment cause they're working hard over at Blogger Central and have removed some of the features from the type pad.

Yet again as they sort out things that remain a mystery here at this blog.

Looking round

Had a while to look round in between appointments. The alternative second hand book shop had gone and so had the new age shop. But there is now a vegetarian and vegan cafe/restaurant there which looked really nice

Down the High Street there was a new alternative shop which had a large floral peace sign in the window. The shop's just getting a website done but it's basically a book shop which sells a few other bits and pieces too. 2006 hippie shop.

Didn't go further up to see if the health store was still there.

Two dental visits in one day

When I set off from here for London it never occured to me that I'd be seeing the dentist in the morning AND the afternoon.

The morning visit was quite simple. I was there on time and we discussed what he was going to do. Had a few x rays taken and my dentist explained what the options were. I'll have the bridge done. He said he might want to do a little surgery but he's going to see if he can do it without it. He thinks he can.

He had an appointment free in the afternoon after a cancellation and asked if I wanted it so that we could get the treatment started. I wandered round the town for a while. Was back in time. Had a filling done and some root canal work started.

He said the tooth might hurt today but it doesn't at all.

Have the next two appointments lined up. He suggested making two because that way the second one, which will be a long one, would be an earlier one than if I waited to book it the next time I was there.

In detail

And ofcourse will report on what happened at the dentist in full detail.

Wonders if I should practice dental things, opening my mouth wide and swishing around with antiseptic and things. Though not together ofcourse.

Londinium

Just off to make the daily porridge. Tomorrow the health quest continues as I return to London to see my dentist. Get in tomorrow, stay overnight, and then see the dentist on Wednesday. Fortunately I'm a lot better than I was a few days ago and this doesn't seem as big a deal as it did when I made the appointment.

Muscles still not back to normal but getting there. Hopefully, by Wednesday .............................

And, back in London.

WOOT

I'm sorry but it's not just the lure of the teeth that's attracting me back there. I was a bit cautious about going back in some ways but that's just gone now.

Happier paws

Walking was a lot easier today. Not only were things probably the best since Christmas but the left groundside paw wasn't so tender either. Things were obviously a lot better yesterday much to my surprize. Where had the limp gone, no sign of it, though am still rather on the stiff side. Yesterday the sore paw was still obviously on the tender side but today was much more resiliant as I walked around Leamington (Outer Hebridies, Cocos (Keeling) Islands).

I resisted the call to head off somewhere (anywhere) after being so immersed in the greatish indoors for so long. But Stratford seemed very promising, and there was definitely a nod towards Glastonbury.

But, I was sensible and just stayed here without heading off down any highways anywhere. I started back on the Oxfam trail and called in to give the weekly donation. The woman behind the counter said Ah, the usual. Sadly it hadn't been for a while. Upped the donation a bit when I spotted the Zydeco and Cajun cd behind the desk. No Rocking Dopsie on it but will still be cool to listen to .... sitting down (ofcourse!!!). For now.

Sleep

Well, that about sums up today. Well, dozing anyway. Not that I can remember much of it, then I suppose I wouldn't if I was asleep. There's not an awful lot to remember if you're just dozing either.

Maybe I did, maybe I didn't

I went over to the diary site where I have a diary that I occasionally post in, though the posts aren't out there on the net, and this site was the banner ad at the time. Might have posted it before, can't remember. I do know that I haven't read through it which is why I can't remember.

Guess I'll go over and read through it soon. Just tired at the moment.

Still a bit tired

Think the tiredness is still related to the cold I had/have. Thought it had gone but maybe it hasn't quite.

So, resting. And off to make the afternoon porridge. Things have got a bit confused today because I went to sleep without eating dinner last night, so had dinner for breakfast, now I'm having the breakfast porridge for lunch.

This evening??????????????

Well ....................................................

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Cont .................

My mistake when taking the test was to draw lots of piggies.

So, I had pigs facing right and left, and all over the page etc which meant I couldn't be analysed.

I've also noticed that this test can only be accurate if you're over a certain age. I've now seen the answers.

Well.

Am in a much better mood than I was when I woke up this morning. Strange, I came back in a good mood yesterday, though noticed as the evening went on that I seemed to be getting a bit on the moody side. Went to bed and woke up in one of my best go away u moods.

Was going out for the day today but just didn't feel like it which was probably just as well and got on with things here instead. Still in a bad mood and feeling very tired. Noticed that I was feeling better as the afternoon wore on. But things still seemed not quite right.

Went out for a while, though it was too cold to stay out for long because I wasn't feeling that great and there was quite a cold wind. But whatever it was that was making me feel like I did has lifted.

I think I will leave it here though. I was going to write about the Draw A Pig Personality Test which we were invited to take on one board but that can wait until tomorrow. I'm not sure if we were asked to do this to see if we were suitable for the board but it didn't really matter as no one shared their results.

I messed mine up totally but never mind.

Woke up this morning thinking the day was only go to a cool 10 degree high. Stepped out into the sunshine this afternoon to find that it was really warm. This ofcourse meant that I set out for Sainsburys, this time walking up the canal path instead of the road. The whole atmosphere was different, walking up there with the road partially hidden by trees on one side and another curtain of trees on the other side as well. The canal in front of me glimmered with gold as the sun shone down on it.

A boat passed me and I smiled and waved at the people who smiled and waved back. The path alongside the canal here is different from walking near Radford, I think it's the trees that make the difference. You feel more alone with nature on the path I was on today. Though it was quite busy there today.

Walked back along the road.

I'd've thought the temperature was at least 12 degrees out at around 5.30 this afternoon and with the sun out it made for a really nice walk.

S*d it

Well, first ur bridge falls out and you put it somewhere very visible and then you put it away carefully ... and ofcourse can't find it.

This is the way of life.

But, it's all to the good in some ways because it has encouraged me to get the whole thing sorted out.

And, to sort out this place and get moving back to London.

Hope I'll soon find it now that I've started sorting that out.

Needed a bit of a prod really.

Just a quick peek in

You'd think I would have to be enticed away from Blogger now that it's up and running again, wouldn't you. Well, maybe I have. At least away from this tiny corner of the Blogosphere.

I've been tired and staying up when I shouldn't. Just like tonight really, 'cause I've got to be up bright and early tomorrow morning and I should've turned in a couple of hours ago.

Thinks

Right.

Goodnight then.
