Pottering the paws

I did go out fer a while today thinking I'd be too late to see anyone but pottered over just on the off chance and there they were chatting away.

But the walking and talking tires a lemuure out a lot at the moment, that's what'll happen after weeks of bed and chair rest so it's time to sort the last medicines of the day out and get something to eat and then Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Well, off to sleep then up again. Just as well as I needed my goodnight medication. Goodnight lemuure here is ur medication. Usually I'd go to sleep about four hours after this in the hospital but tonight I've been to sleep and am up now getting my own medication and then'll go off to rest the head on the paws for the night.

I think I needed a rest before because I wasn't used to being on the poorly paw paws for long. Though the left poorly paw is a lot better than it was. The paws got the red dye soaks again and they really seem to like these and then afterwards the very poorly big toe was wrapped in a silver plaster. Well, two to start off with then one as the toe got smaller as the swelling went down.

Then we covered them with a sock.

But, I tell u in da hospital it was all lemuure have u done ur ointments and creams and taken all ur pillies. There are so many of them and I left with over a carrier bag of pills, potions and lotions. The pillies are very interesting .. most are white like the fizzy paracetamol but I also have red pills, orange pills, purple pills and light grape coloured pills.

Well, I guess the poorly paw paws won't be pottering very far for a while but maybe they should be pottering off to get some sleep now.

But before we potter off knowing there'll be no more pottering down the highways fer now some nice person gave a whole collection of model bikes and scooters to the League of Friends shop near Nicholas Ward. I bought a couple to keep on my locker and someone else bought all the others. Every single bike and scooter went and raised money fer the hospital.

Just a quick note

I've finally left the sleeping in part of the hospital though I'm to go back next week as an out patient. I was in Nicholas Ward .. and, yes, I almost typed St Nicholas there. It was all very comforting especially as we had lots of lovely tulips growing outside. We'd a great view and when I left there were bushes of dog roses coming into flower for people to look at.

I'll miss people though some of us are staying in touch. We managed to have a bit of a laugh even though there was such sadness at times. My friend is still waiting to have her investigations. Today was busy and in our part of the ward, sad, and this'll now be left a bit later. I'll be seeing her soon anyway but I'm still glad we had the extra day to chat.

I'm tired this evening. I was going out but I'm glad I was too late in the end to go because I'm a very, very sleepy lemuure. Wide awake at four but very tired by eight. In hospital we'd still be chatting at eight but we have lots of bed rest because we weren't allowed to do anything else. So after all these weeks of not being able to do much .........

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
