Actually

...... as far as the yogurts went ... all I had to do was ask if our local wonderful organic health shop would get some in for me.

(but I didn't)

Cause they would've.

Y' just have to ask about these things and they will order them for u if they can.

The health shop in Warwick stocks a few too. And they will order them in for u if u ask them to.

Problems with bacteria

Yesterday I bought some live soya yogurt from the lovely organic shop in Earlsdon. Nice, because not many places sell it round here.

Too late to put a hint up I guess, because I'm leaving soon

but ...... see those little pots at the bottom of the page

http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk/cgi-local/frameset/sect/CDAY.html

Usually I have no trouble with this yogurt but for some reason yesterday's batch was very frisky. Perhaps it was the music but this morning it leapt off the spoon all over my lovely purple t shirt.

Off to the bathroom to sort that out. Then, I thought it'd be nice to have another pot of this lovely live yogurt for lunch as well, and, what do you know, straight off the spoon and all over the t shirt again.

Obviously the training had gone wrong before leaving the Sojasun home..

U little bacterias love the tummy
And the tummy loves the bacterias.

Music and porridge

Am sitting here waiting for the porridge saucepan to soak and be ready to porridge again. As usual I've music playing. This time it's George Harrison and friends The Concert for Bangladesh.

This was a concert from 1971 which was put on to raise money to help people in Bangladesh when there was a famine.

This is a nice site

http://www.tigerhomes.org/

Unfortunately, like Blogger it's having some problems at the moment as explained half way down this thread which was started on Saturday. The white tiger webcam was working when I tried. And I could get a picture up for the different webcams by clicking the Take A Snapshot button just under the webcam box.

The thread

There are other sections on the message board which'll help with problems too if you go to the main page.

Dinner

I'm just sitting here waiting for the oven to warm up so I can put my dinner in to cook. Tonight's meal is quite complicated really. Well, it would be if I prepared it myself. I get to do the easier part, taking the packaging off where it's needed and putting it in the oven.

People do keep on about cooking meals myself, and sometimes I do. But, I'm sorry, tonight is just not one of those nights and I make no apology for that.

So, tonight's dinner is a mixture of winter vegetables from Tesco just ready to put in the oven, a lentil casserole from the same place and a couple of crumpets and marmite .

And the all important glass of water.

I reckon that the oven's ready now so off to read the instructions and to hope for the best.

The Peace Festival

I meandered into the Peace Festival quite late yesterday to be met by the sound of people drumming. Always atmospheric.

A lot of the people who had arrived for the weekend were packing up and getting ready to move on. I picked up a couple of leaflets from the United Nations stall and went and looked at a stall that had been set up to help provide information about how rebuilding was continuing after the tsunami. Bought a few cds from the stall and chatted for a while with one of the people working there.

As for the tsunami it's going to take time to get the places that were affected sorted out again.

Unlike last year there was a noticeable lack of stripey trousers at the festival. I'd moaned last year about the lack of variety, and I'm moaning again this year because of the variety which only included about five pairs of these wonderful trousers. Not to worry though, because I've got the Indian trousers that I found at Bee's at the Oasis to wear this year. I'd just got rather attached to these trousers. You know how it is.

Found some very nice badges. The "Feminists are cute" one will go very nicely with the Che Guevara one I thought.

I doubt if I'll visit the festival again because I'm moving. I do know a little about the days when it started and the Corn Mother was here as an alternative shop. It's been going a long time. Last week I found some postcards and cards in the local organic shop that they'd found in their cellar and had put out to sell. I remember these cards well. They've got a kind of rainbow backing and have symbols and pictures printed on them, mainly in black, but not all.

I've still got a few that I bought at The Silver Moon when it was open in The Charing Cross Road, slightly different from the ones in the organic shop. I bought one that had a picture of the Buddha on it, one with the eye of horus and a card that just said Love. Don't know when these were printed because the cards were available for quite a long time.

The Silver Moon bookshop used to be in the Charing Cross Road and grew from a tiny shop to taking over two shop spaces. It was owned by Sue Butterworth and Jane Cholmeley. Sadly Sue died from cancer about two years ago. It closed and sold it's name to Foyles a few years ago when the shops in that part of the Charing Cross Road changed ownership and the rents went up quite a bit. It's now a Chinese Medicine shop but it lives on under another ownership in Foyles, the large bookshop down the Tottenham Court Road end of the Charing Cross Road.

Advance warning ..................................

And, yes, I know I should be in bed. But, when you come across a site like this I think a lemuure can be forgiven for staying up a little bit later than usual. Oh, well, you know what I mean.

I've only tried out a few of these cards but I think I can see the scope that this site offers.

A very, very sleepy lemuure

I had to take some medication the night before last and to my surprize it just knocked me out. In the words of Beachcomber .... "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

I suppose, thinking about it, I should've known this would happen. But I didn't and it came as a bit of a surprize.

I felt very sleepy yesterday morning and just dozed through til the afternoon some time. Was up and out by half four and on the paws for a few hours. Came back in and Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz again.

It's now 5.00 in the morning and I'm sorting out dinner from the night before. 5.00 is a bit late even for me.

On the good side, the cold I guess I was coming down with from the slight sore throat I had on Tuesday evening doesn't seem to have developed, but I suppose it's early days yet.

Potters off to put dinner in oven. It's the Sainsbury's lentil and veg dinner. With, I guess, a couple of hours later, porridge to follow. Not to forget the glass or two of water and some soya milk.

And

I've no interest in chocoolate.

I might ask the Bowen person if they can arrange for just a little bit back.

That is probably two fingers in the ribs or something.

It's a pity you can't work out what they're doing cause I sure would have liked to pick some of it up while having the treatments.

It's a total mystery.

Running

I ran for the first time since I developed the infection in the left groundside paw at the end of last year. Up hill too!!! Not for long but there weren't any problems.

I haven't had any trouble with the paw since my first Bowen therapy session which is surprizing cause I've had a lousey cold since then and colds up til then always made the paw much worse and at times would bring the limp back.

My muscles are still stiff and there's still a way to go. I go again tomorrow for my third treatment.

I've been rather bolshie over the last couple of days too. At times. I've noticed the changes that are happening in my mind. Not just being a bit on the ratty side! My interest in music is coming back, and the dance. Played Cornershop's Brimful Of Asha and had an Indian dancer dancing in my mind. Just playing out the beats in the music.

U've been pretty bolshoi the last two days then Lemuure?

I hate ballet.

Bolshie but not bolshoi.

A lemuure in THERAPY

Well, possibly not the conventional kind. All I can say it is working a treat. We seem to be only half way through it but the brain seems to be springing back into action.

Wonders if it's wise to answer the phone for the rest of the day.

Silence

I know it's been quite a few days since I was last in here blogging. Even lemuures have their blogging off days.

Last time I was here I was wishing for more outtages which it turns out is actually spelled outages. We are just about to have a scheduled one here at Blogger. Probably to clear up the problem which keeps on telling us that we can't reach the blogging pages.

Though ofcourse that might have been unscheduled outaging. It's difficult to tell these days.

Blogger has been having quite a lot of this over the past few weeks.
