Lemuure were's yer trewsers

It seems a long time ago since I was thinking of putting on a Christmas show with the other lemuuries. Though as it was only the Christmas before last I guess it's not too long ago really. So, we can either be very late for that one, not quite so late for the last Christmas, though later if we're considering St Nicholas Day, earlyish for next St Nicholas Day, not quite so early if we go for when St Nicholas arrives in The Netherlands, he arrives much earlier than Father Christmas does in the Cocoa (Keeling) Isles, or very early for next Christmas.

We've decided to go for an international flavour and have been adapting songs around a loosely woven winter's tale.

We decided to go for this little Scottish song first which is about a duck who has lost his trewsers. The song is usually called Donald were's yer trewsers.

Lemuure were's yer trewsers
Over the long johns they must go
Even though it seems we're not having snow
Lemuure were's yer trewsers.

Och, Lemuure were's yer trewsers.

Lemuure were's yer trewsers
Have you looked behind the big armchair
I think that they might be there
Lemuure there's yer trewsers.

Och, Lemuure here's yer trewsers.

Then we thought we would sing A Windmill in Oulde Amsterdam. With just a slight variation.

I saw a mouse
Where?
There on the stair.

A little mouse lemuure with clogs on
Well, I declare
Going clip clipperty clop on the stair.
Oh, yeah.

Very Fred and Ginger.

A mouse lemuure.
