Lemuures on the trail

Last week was an interesting week for lemuures who found themselves protesting on behalf of endangered species everywhere because the Independent produced a map which showed the endangered species on this planet. Sadly because most lemuures are living in a very small part of the world, Madagascar and a couple of small islets in the vincinity to be precise, where their habitat is being eroded by deforestation rather like the rainforest but on a much smaller scale they find themselves on this list.

But still they have John Cleese and The Independent at the weekend (last week) protesting on their behalf. And so more and more people are becoming aware of their plight. Less forest, less trees and therefore less lemuures.

Lemuuries were also to be seen promoting back packing trail holidays to Madagascar in this very same publication.

There was another story connected to lemuuries this week and again it had a connection with ecology and protecting the planet. Though this time it was because someone was not a lemuure. This was obvious because as we all know THERE ARE NO LEMUURES IN BORNEO. At least that doesn't look like Auntie John to me. She did mention going there once and she's on holiday at the moment.

It seems though that there are problems here similar to the problems lemuures are facing in Madagascar. The forest trees are being cut down.

Lemuures and non lemuures and possibly non lemuures need to protest.
